Zirconia Ceramic Rod

Zirconia ceramic rods are manufactured from high-purity yttria-stabilized zirconia (Ю-ТЗП, ZrO₂ ≥ 95%). They feature metal-like toughness (fracture toughness 8–10 MPa·m¹ᐟ²) and ultra-high hardness (Hv ≥ 1200). Designed with annular grooves for enhanced mechanical interlocking stability, they are ideal for interference fit, dynamic sealing, surgical tools, dental implants, and precision bearings. The surface finish is Ra ≤ 0.05 мкм, with excellent biocompatibility (ИСО 13356) and bodily fluid corrosion resistance.

Core Advantages of Zirconia Ceramic Rod

High Fracture & Impact Resistance

  • Phase transformation toughening technology provides 60% metal-like toughness.
  • Bending strength ≥ 1200 МПа, far exceeding alumina ceramic (300–400 MPa).
  • Customizable annular grooves (tolerance ±01 mm) eliminate axial displacement and stress concentration.

Extreme Environmental Stability

  • Corrosion & wear resistant: withstands strong acids (excluding HF), щелочи, and high-temperature steam up to 600°
  • Hardness is 5× that of stainless steel, ideal for pump shafts and valve stems.
  • Non-magnetic & electrically insulating: volume resistivity > 10¹² Ω·cm for MRI and semiconductor applications.

Medical-Grade Safety & Certification

  • Bio-inert: ИСО 10993 certified; no ion leaching for long-term implantation.
  • Sterilizable: autoclave, gamma, ETO compatible; non-porous surface prevents bacterial growth.

Прецизионная обработка & Кастомизация

  • Nano-polished surface: Ра ≤ 02 μm for ultra-low friction and high-speed applications (>50,000 rpm).
  • Custom features: through holes (Φ5–20 mm), нити (M1–M30), V/trapezoidal grooves.
